Academics

From Preschool through 8th grade, our faculty nurture social and emotional growth alongside academic potential — with a strong emphasis on kindness, honesty, respect, and compassion woven into every subject.

At every grade level:

Lower School

Preschool – Grade 4

Our Lower School encompasses students from Preschool 3 through Grade 4. Faculty nurture social and emotional development alongside academic potential, with a strong emphasis on kindness, honesty, respect, and compassion. Students spend roughly two-thirds of the day in a homeroom-based program learning Reading, Language Arts, Math, and Social Studies, and leave homeroom for Spanish, Music, Visual Arts, Physical Education, Religion, Library/Media Technology, and STEM — attending Chapel weekly.

Grades 5 – 8

The Upper School faculty, teaching Grades 5 through 8, provide a challenging and innovative curriculum to prepare every student to become an independent, confident learner. Our Traits for Success are implemented across every subject to promote knowledge, character, and community service. An Advisory program strengthens relationships between students and faculty, while Science Fair, Student Council, Model UN, and Declamation Day enrich the curriculum.
