In addition to a challenging academic program, all of our students — from Preschool through 8th grade — take part in a variety of unique events and experiences that support our school's mission of academic excellence, character development, and commitment to faith.

Unique Programs and Experiences

From Big and Little Buddies to Spirit Week and Declamation Days, St. John's traditions build community across every grade.

Community Service

Students participate in grade-appropriate service projects, from classroom-led initiatives to community-wide activities. Grades 5–8 work toward minimum required hours (5th: 6, 6th: 8, 7th: 10, 8th: 12), with students encouraged to exceed the requirement.

Spiritual Life

Weekly Chapel services and faith-centered traditions are woven into daily school life at every grade level.

Athletics

St. John's offers Soccer, Cross Country, Basketball, and Flag Football for Grades 5–8, with a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship, and character over wins. All students are encouraged to participate regardless of ability.

The Arts

A broad visual and performing arts program spans art, drama, and music. K–4 students receive foundational instruction; Grades 5–8 rotate through specialized instruction with opportunities in band, private lessons, and chamber chorus.

Extended Day Program

Available 7:00–8:00 a.m. and 3:00–6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, with trained staff at a 1:15 teacher-student ratio. Drop-in care available at $15/hour, space permitting.

Social-Emotional Counseling

St. John's provides robust social-emotional counseling to all students in need, supporting individual counseling, group counseling, peer mediation, and anti-bullying work.
